GASP A LINELESS PAINTING? I’m still surprised I finished it, but I’m very glad I did.
This was drawn for a contest in my art group, where each picture we draw has to be inspired by a song. For this I chose the Charlie Chaplin song “Smile”, sung by Nat King Cole.
A quick gift sketch for a good friend! Happy birthday, Trin, with love from the OWLMAN.
Lately, there’s been a lot of people around me who’ve complained about lineart, specifically, how time consuming and difficult it is. A lot of artists seem to think lineart is the most tedious part of art, because it requires you to be concentrated, precise, and to have an incredibly steady hand.
This is an awesome exploration of lineart written by an awesome friend of mine. Definitely worth a read!
I’ve been in such a rut lately, I can’t seem to draw anything I need to draw. Perhaps doing late-night one-layer paintings is the answer?? We’ll see.
OK SO my friend Inseng has a World of Warcraft orc named Shacklebolt and he is a KILLING MACHINE PERFECT PRECIOUS BABY I LOVE HIM. I doodled him from memory so this is awful but Inseng demanded I put it on my tumblr so yes.
This was drawn as payment for a character design commission, for my fantastic friend Izzy. The original drawing size is too big for tumblr, so I included a close up of their adorably kawaii faces.
I love you twin biscuit. <3 Have a fantastic birthday.
My half of a traditional art trade with my friend Color! I think I might be getting the hang of using watercolors.
